Lightweight fighter Danny ‘Boy’ Downes announced on twitter that he has been cut from the UFC
“Zuffa has “exercised its right in to accelerate the term of its promotional and other obligations.” In other words I’m cut,” Downes posted.
Since coming into the UFC from WEC, Danny has had two consecutive losses to Jeremy Stephens and Ramsey Nijem.
Seven other fighters have also been removed from UFC.com, they are Jason Brilz, Eliot Marshall, Shamar Bailey, Clay Harvison, Matt Lucas, Paul Bradley and Edward Faaloloto.
