Following two straight losses to Gegard Mousasi and Lyoto Machida and news of a grade 3 MCL tear and a strained ACL, Mark Munoz’s spot on the roster has been the subject of speculation this week.
However top 10 ranked “Filipino Wrecking Machine” announced via his instagram on Thursday afternoon that he has signed a new 4 fight contract with the UFC
At 36 years old, this could be Munoz’s last chance to make a run at the middleweight crown
Munoz (13-5) put on a brave face following his loss to Mousasi in Berlin
“It was a tough loss. But I think it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, but it’s about how many times you pick yourself back up after a loss or a failure,” Munoz said. “That’s what I’ll do.”
