UFC announced tonight that USADA have notified the promotion and Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on December 5, 2016.
This isn’t Cyborg’s first run in with anti-doping authorities. Back in December 2011, Cyborg tested positive for an anabolic steroid after an anti-doping test conducted by the California State Athletic Commission and was stripped of her Strikeforce belt.
Here is the full statement from the UFC:
“The UFC organization was formally notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on December 5, 2016.
USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.
Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information or UFC statements will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
she gets tested more than any other fighter in the business due to past track record, surely she isnt dumb enough to take stuff… I think she has been tested like 11-12 times this year already… if she is THIS careless and dumb… she needs to go..but I really think there is more to it..
