Sky Sports confirmed to Boxing News earlier this week that the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor pay-per-view broke the UK purchase rate records.
The event aired on Sky Box Office and cost £19.95 in the UK and €24.95 in Republic of Ireland.
Sky told Boxing News that the bout was purchased by more than 1 million homes, breaking the previous UK pay-per-view record set by Anthony Joshua and Wladmir Klitschko earlier in the year.
