Tony Ferguson has been forced to withdraw from this weekend’s highly anticipated title bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 due to an LCL injury to his knee.
Dana White spoke to ESPN and revealed that UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has reportedly agreed to step in and face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title.
It’s signed. Just got done. Khabib x Holloway on Saturday in Brooklyn. 5 rounds. Same belt on the line.

The UFC President also stated that Conor McGregor “expressed an interest in fighting in September”.
I'm told the injury to Tony Ferguson was literally caused by a trip. The freak accident of all freak accidents. He was walking, saw someone he wasn't expecting to see, veered sharply to say hello and tripped.
