James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor finally squared off in a bantamweight encounter on Saturday night in Milan, Italy. There were four Irish competitors on the card in total, let me take you through some of the highlights.
The Jimmy Show rolled on in the main event of the evening. Gallagher shot for a double leg on Ellenor early and went on to secure a rear naked choke victory. Massively impressive from “The Strabanimal”.
Charlie Ward got the job done in the co-main event. He won the contest on all three judges scorecards.
Kiefer Crosbie and Charlie Leary fought in an absolute war before the fight was stopped after the first round. Tremendous fight!
Sinead Kavanagh put in an impressive performance getting the win by unanimous decision. With the win Kavanagh moves right into title contention for Cris Cyborg’s featherweight title.
Gokhan Saricam got the job done over Joffie Houlton in their heavyweight bout. A very dominant performance from the Turkish man.
Fists were flying in the bout between Kane Mousah and Alessandro Botti. The lightweight scrap went all the way with Mousah getting his hand raised.
SBG fighter Adjoudj Asael looked great when he picked up his first professional win of his career against Nathan Jessimer.
Marek Jakimowicz who fights out of IFS Northern Ireland landed devastating elbows on the way to his first round victory.
