A featherweight fight between no.5-ranked Pedro “The Game” Carvalho (12-5) and promotional newcomer Khasan “Black Wolf” Askhabov (23-2) is set to take place at Bellator’s Paris show on Friday May 6th. The matchup was first reported by RedFuryMMA, and SevereMMA.com separately confirmed the bout with multiple sources.
A former Bellator title challenger, SBG Ireland’s Carvalho is coming into the contest off the back of a Unanimous Decision victory over Daniel Weichel, one of the fights of the night on Bellator’s most recent visit to the Irish capital. The Portugese fighter continues to take on all comers as he welcomes Askhabov to the Bellator featherweight division.
Chechen fighter Khasan Askhabov signed a 4-fight deal with Bellator in September. Most recently fighting out of American Top Team in Florida, the 27-year-old is a former featherweight champion under the Ukranian promotion World Warriors Fighting Championships. He most recently fought in 2020, submitting Cliff Wright (12-13) on iKon Fighting Federation.
Bellator 282 will take place on Friday 6th May in Paris, France.
