After announcing initially at the UFC 189: World Tour Press Conference in Dublin that he would face Gilbert Burns at UFC Fight Night 67 in Brazil today news broke that Norman Parke has a new opponent and will instead face Francisco Trinaldo after Burns pulled out through injury. The news was originally reported by Brazilian site Globo.
After competing on and winning TUF: Smashes, Parke has gone on to win 4 of his 6 UFC bouts. Last time out, though, Parke lost for the first time in the Octagonal cage against Gleison Tibau and will be looking to bounce back immediately against yet another Brazilian.
His opponent, Francisco Trinaldo should be another tough test for the Ulsterman. The Brazilian has won 6 of his 9 UFC scraps and will be looking to take his current successful streak to three against Parke after beating Akbarh Arreola and Leandro Silva in his last two.
I guess it's different opponent but still the same result.!
