UFC president Dana White appeared on FoxSports’ magazine show ‘UFC Tonight’ and confirmed that Luke Rockhold is the number one contender for Chris Weidman’s middleweight title.
Although the event and date is still unknown, Dana confirmed that Rockhold will get the title shot next.
Undefeated champion Weidman ended the incredible run of Anderson Silva with a brutal KO and a broken leg TKO victory over the previously untouchable champion.
Since then successfully defended his middleweight strap against Vitor Belfort last month at UFC 187 with a first round TKO after a dominant decision victory over former 205lb champion Lyoto Machida back in July 2014.
