Potentially game changing news is emerging from Las Vegas tonight with a report from ESPN suggesting that the Ultimate Fighting Championship is being sold.
The report says that at least four bids from WME/IMG, China Media Capital, The Blackstone Group and Dalian Wanda Group have been potentially put on the table with the estimated value between $3.5 billion to $4 billion.
The UFC, though, are denying the reports.
Speaking to Las Vegas Review-Journal UFC vice president of public relations Dave Sholler said “As a private company, we don’t discuss speculation or rumors related to our business.”
While UFC president Dana White told the same publication “The UFC is not for sale,”
“The ESPN story is overblown. Darren Rovell is not a fan of facts. His facts could not be further off.”
