Last week it was announced that Charlie Ward’s UFC debut had been moved to the UFC Fight Night Belfast card on 19th November 2016 at the SSE Arena in Belfast.
Since then Simon Head revealed he has “received official confirmation from the UFC” that Ward’s opponent will be fellow new UFC signing Abdul Razak Alhassan.
UFC announced last month that Irishman Charlie Ward had signed with the promotion and Ward was originally scheduled to debut against Randy Brown at UFC Fight Night Albany on 9th December but the SBG product’s debut has been moved forward and he will now face Alhassan instead of Randy Brown.
Alhassan (6-0) is undefeated as a professional. In his last outing he defeated Jos Eichelberger at Legacy FC 61 to continue his streak of finishing all of his professional bouts by 1st round KO/TKO.
