After an online campaign, Irish welterweight Richard Kiely has finally gotten his wish as Severe MMA can exclusively reveal he will be taking on 170lbs BAMMA champion Alex Lohore for the title when the British based promotion return to Dublin in November.
Lohore, who holds a record of 13-1, has been ultra impressive of late. The Frenchman is currently on a nine fight winning streak with seven of those victories coming inside the distance. His latest outing was just two weeks ago as he finished Nathan Jones in the first round with a fantastic knee.

“There is only one Conor McGregor and it’s not you.” Lohore told SevereMMA. “Time to take you to MMA school boy.”
Kiely meanwhile is just 2-0 in MMA after a long striking career. The SBG trained fighter defeated fellow Irishman Keith McCabe in his debut 9 months ago while his latest victory over Daniel Olejniczak came by way of heavy knockout which impressed BAMMA enough to earn him a shot at the title.
“In the space of 1 year and in 2 fights I’ve done what most fighters haven’t done in a career and that’s main event the 3Arena for the BAMMA world title.” Kiely said via text message.
“After LaWhores chinectomy and belt removal I still expect him to thank me for making him relevant. “KIELY, BOMA YE”. Signed, The Face of BAMMA and New world champion 😂.”
