Irish MMA fans have finally got their wish regarding the matchmaking of Karl Moore. Bellator have confirmed to SevereMMA that #7 ranked light-heavyweight Moore will face the #6 ranked Alex Polizzi at Bellator 294 in the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States on April 21st.
Moore is currently 3-0 in his Bellator career as tremendous wins over Maciej Rozanski and Karl Albrektsson came after his debut win over Lee Chadwick, some three years before. The pandemic and injuries were to thank for the long absence but the former Cage Warriors light-heavyweight champion emerged from the period of inactivity looking even better than before.
Opposite him on the night will be the 10-2 former LFA 205 lbs champ Alex Polizzi. A well-rounded American fighting out of Madison, Wisconsin, Polizzi has won 4 of his 6 Bellator fights with stand-out victories over Rafael Carvalho and Grant Neal. His most recent fight was in May of last year as he gave up a hard fought third round loss to MMA legend Yoel Romero.
In the wide-open light-heavyweight division any fight between ranked individuals could have title ramifications and an impressive win for either man in Hawaii will put them in the mix for a bout with current champ Vadim Nemkov.
