A lightweight matchup between Andreeas Binder (8-2) and Aleksandr Chizov (10-2) is set for PFL’s first regular season event of their 2024 European series on Thursday 7th March. Sources confirmed the fight—which will take place in the Accor Arena, Paris—to SevereMMA.com.
Training out of SBG Charlestown, Andreeas Binder is riding a 3-fight win streak. After capturing the Levels Fight League lightweight title in impressive fashion via 4th-round KO over Aiden Lee last July, Binder penned a deal with PFL. In December, “Judoka” was scheduled for a domestic showdown vs SBG Ireland’s Daniele Scatizzi on the PFL Europe Finals card in Dublin. However, Binder missed weight and the fight was scrapped.
Latvian fighter Aleksander Chizov is 1-1 under the PFL banner. After an impressive promotional debut in 2022, “Pretty Boy” was riding high on a 7-fight win streak as he entered the 2023 PFL Europe season. One of the favourites to win the lightweight tournament, Chizov suffered an upset loss over three rounds to Acoidan Duque in Berlin.
For both Binder and Chizov, this is in opportunity at redemption under the PFL banner.
The Paris card is set to be headlined by a showdown between undefeated French fighters, superstar Cedric Doumbé (5-0) and Baissangour Chamsoudinov (8-0).
